mEET sHAWNA
Shawna’s culinary journey began in 2009 during one of the most challenging periods of her life. As she privately battled cancer, she sought a new focus to keep her mind engaged and strong. Attending culinary school became that challenge, offering not only a distraction but a path to discovering her passion. Baking, especially, became her outlet—a way to channel creativity, strength, and joy. As she honed her craft, she found inspiration in seeing others enjoy the bread she created by hand. What started as a personal escape became her life’s work, and today, Shawna pours that same passion into every loaf at Windermere Bread Company.
